Food & Menus
I am happy to provide all children in my care with healthy homemade snacks and drinks free of charge. I am also happy to provide them with a healthy breakfast or lunch for a small charge, or you can send them in with a packed lunch. Packed lunches will be kept in the fridge until lunchtime (If on a picnic lunches shall be kept in a cool bag) and served on plates.
I encourage children to choose healthy options and to experiment by trying new foods from other cultures. Older children are encouraged to help in the preparation of snacks and meals.
I am happy to discuss menus with parents and cater for children with different food allergies and cultural/religious requirements. If your child has any particular dislikes or favourite dishes please let me know.
I will record what your child has eaten and approximate amounts in their daily diary on the babysdays system. If you have any concerns regarding diet/menu/quantity please do not hesitate to discuss it with me.
Babies:
I do not provide infant formula or jars of baby food. Parents must provide adequate formula along with sterilized bottles.
I support parents in their chosen weaning methods whether its baby led weaning or puree. However, until your baby is able to eat the items on the menus below please provide me with your own pureed meals.
Crisps, Sweets & Cakes:
I request that these items are not included in any packed lunches. I may offer children sweets or cakes on special occasions such as birthdays, or if we have made them ourselves.
