My Setting
My husband and I own the first floor of a Victorian house, on a beautiful quiet avenue in the Haylands area of Ryde. My setting is smoke-free and a real home from home environment.
Our living room is the chill-out zone. This is where we eat our food and have a chat, sing a song or tell a story, and get creative with arts & crafts. After lunch, this is where we have quiet time. After school, the schoolies can do their homework, then relax with some suitable television or play with the lego.
Our play area has stacks of toys, a play kitchen, fancy dress and much more stuff that allows for indoor play. This is where we get messy with sensory play.
We may not have a garden but this doesn't stop us from enjoying outdoor play daily. The local rec is only five minutes away and the perfect place for a game of football or a ride on our scooters. We also have our own allotment at the bottom of the road where the children help me to grow fruit and vegetables to eat, our allotment also has a reading and play area, and coming soon, a mud kitchen!
I am proud to provide a safe and loving home from home setting that gives babies and children a chance to build confidence and develop their own identity through a range of learning and play opportunities...
...and being a childminder means I can offer flexible routines for your child's feeding and sleep patterns (Unlike the strict routines of nurseries) as well as quality one-on-one time.
